Fresh off a relatively surprising victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the 9-3 Houston Texans, quarterbacked by third-stringer T.J. Yates will go to Cincinnati in Week 14 to visit the 7-5 Bengals, reeling from getting blown out by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Neither team looks like a very solid choice, but the good folks at Odds Shark have the Texans as one-point road favorites.
NFL Odds And Lines Week 14: Texans Vs. Bengals
The 9-3 Houston Texans, led by rookie QB T.J. Yates, are one-point favorites over the Bengals, who are clinging to the AFC’s final playoff spot.

Despite having the inexperienced Yates at the helm, the Texans are led by Arian Foster and a defense that ranks in the Top 4 in the league in rushing and passing defense. Yates, to his credit, did a good job of managing the game in last week's win, and continued to play well after losing All-Pro receiver Andre Johnson to injury partway through the game.
The Bengals have yet to beat a team with a record even approaching Houston's, but, before last week's debacle, they had been competitive in all of their losses. With the Jets and Titans hot on their trail for the AFC's final Wild Card spot, the Bengals need to win — or, in bettors case, at least tie — to continue to control their own destiny.
