NFL Odds And Lines Week 14: Patriots Vs. Redskins

The New England Patriots will look to extend their winning streak to five games when they take on the Washington Redskins.

The New England Patriots enter this Sunday's contest against the Washington Redskins riding a four-game winning streak. They beat the Indianapolis Colts by just seven points, 31-24, last weekend. But that won't stop the odds makers from placing the Patriots as strong favorites against the Redskins. In fact, the opening line of seven points in favor of the Patriots has moved to nine points, according to Odds Shark.

Tom Brady enters the game just a few yards short of 4,000 yards. While he'll certainly go over that, Brady might have a bit of trouble with a Redskins pass defense that allows about 210 yards per game, ninth best in the league. However, the Redskins could take advantage of New England's No. 32 ranked pass defense to make this quite the contest. The over/under for this game is 48 points

Washington averages 16.8 points per game while New England scores just over 30 per game. With a bit of luck, the Redskins should be able to bump up that average a bit.
