Saints, Broncos And Cowboys On Upset Watch For NFL Week 14
The Saints, Broncos and Cowboys should be on upset watch in Week 14 of the 2011 NFL season.
This week there are some interesting matchups and as usual potential upsets. Here are three of them.
Where: Nashville, Tennessee
Spread: Saints by 3.5
Why:
The Saints are good at home but they've had trouble winning on the road this season. The Titans finally have the old Chris Johnson back and the old Chris Johnson is the kind of player that could punish the Saints defense. If the Titans can run the ball at will and keep Drew Brees on the sidelines, the Titans could continue their late-season playoff run.
Where: Denver, Colorado
Spread: Broncos by 3.5
Why:
Tim Tebow and the Broncos are as hot as a team can be right now and they're riding a five-game winning streak. They've worked their way back into the AFC playoff picture but they have to get by the Bears first. The Bears have lost two games in a row and if they want to hold on to their wildcard spot, they need to start winning again and they know it. The Bears are a much better team than the Vikings, who the Broncos beat last week, and if Denver gets in a position where they need to make a fourth quarter minute comeback on Sunday, they may fall short.
Where: Dallas, Texas
Spread: Cowboys by 3.5
Why:
The Giants are coming off a near upset over the best team in the NFL (Packers) and the Cowboys are coming off an overtime loss to a 5-7 NFC West team. The game is in Dallas but, this season (and any other season), I'd take Eli Manning over Tony Romo. This should be a close game but I think the Giants are the better team and they should pull off the upset on Sunday.
