NFL Picks And Predictions Week 14: Eagles Vs. Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles will meet on Sunday, both sporting 4-8 records. The Dolphins have won four of their last five, however, and enter Week 14 as favorites over the former aspiring Super Bowl contenders.

So the Miami Dolphins are suddenly playing some solid football and the Philadelphia Eagles are in full-on crisis mode. Few would have predicted that Miami would actually be favored when the two teams meet in Week 14, especially with Matt Moore at quarterback. But here we are, the 'Fins are 2.5-point favorites and the internet has almost completely left the Eagles for dead.

SI's Peter King likes the Dolphins to win and to squeak the cover in a 24-21 victory, despite Michael Vick's return from injury.

Mike Vick is back, and the Eagles will play a feisty game. But Miami hasn’t played a bad game in two months. Average score of the Dolphins’ last seven games: Miami, 24-13. Now, how wild would it be if I told you before the season that Matt Moore would beat Vick to give Miami a better record than Philadelphia after 14 weeks?

The brain trusts at ESPN, Yahoo! Sports and CBS Sports have thrown their support behind Miami as well, with 13 out of 18 panelists siding against the Eagles. Pete Prisco simply doesn’t see the fighting spirit in Philadelphia anymore.

Who could have imagined these two having the same record playing for nothing this late in the season? The Eagles were terrible last week at Seattle. The Dolphins looked great in blowing out Oakland. They look like they care more than Philly now. The Eagles are packing their lockers up for the offseason.

SB Nation’s Andrew Sharp agrees.

This Andy Reid Meltdown ... Even if you hate the Eagles you gotta admit, this s**t is just getting sad.
