VIDEO: Even At Super Bowl Media Day, Steelers’ James Harrison Is Still Bitter

What's been the moment of Super Bowl media day so far? James Harrison is your current front-runner, but it wasn't a quote that we'll remember. It was dead silence. The fun starts the 20-second mark in this video from Super Bowl media day (via Xmas Ape):

“They took a hundred thousand dollars out my pocket. You think I’m NOT bitter?”

[dead silence, stares down reporter]

Remember, everyone. There's no "I" in defense, but there are two in "terrifying". And even though Pittsburgh's defense owes as much to Troy Polamalu as they do James Harrison, there's no question whose mentality best personifies the Steelers approach. It's Harrison, who you the sense might tear a quarterbacks arms off if nobody was looking

Elsewhere on media day, Harrison had some fun at Roger Goodell’s expense:

“I don’t want to hurt nobody. I don’t want to step on nobody’s foot or hurt their toe. I don’t want to have no dirt or none of this rubber on this field fly into their eye and make their eye hurt. I just want to tackle them softly on the ground and if you all can, we’ll lay a pillow down where I’m going to tackle them, so they don’t hit the ground too hard ... Mr. Goodell.”

Heh. See that? He’s being a little sarcastic. Poking fun at Roger Goodell. Funny, right?

Pfft... Come on. Even if it was just a few seconds, the video above gave us a little glimmer into what makes James Harrison the scariest dude in the NFL. Somewhere deep down, it just seems like there’s so much more anger than normal players have. And he doesn’t care what you think about it.

Is he funny? Maybe. He can tell a joke. But when it comes down to it, even if we're laughing with James Harrison, it's only because we're nervous that if we don't, he might just snap somebody's neck. Good luck with that, Aaron Rodgers.
