What else could go wrong with Washington Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth? How about a waitress in Washington claiming Haynesworth sexually assaulted her.
NBC Washington cites sources who say police are investigating a matter between a waitress and Haynesworth at a Washington hotel. The U.S. Attorney’s Office is expected to review the evidence, the report says, to see if charges will be brought against him.
Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck, issued this statement to NBC Washington:
“There seems to be no truth to these allegations. We are currently evaluating facts and considering our own legal action against those involved.”
The Redskins have said they’re gathering more information about the situation.
Details are unclear right now but this is the second legal matter Haynesworth has been involved in the last week. It was less than two weeks ago when reports surfaced Haynesworth was accused of a road rage assault after an incident involving another driver. And it was just on Saturday that Haynesworth was charged with assault in the case.
It’s hard to find someone who’s had more trouble brought their way than Haynesworth. Ever since he’s arrived in Washington with that big contract, it seems nothing has gone right for him (and that’s usually been his own fault).
