Marshall Faulk Voted Into Pro Football Hall Of Fame, Joins Class Of 2011

Marshall Faulk was one of several great running backs up for induction to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but he had no trouble standing out. Through 12 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams, Faulk established himself as one of the best running backs of his generation.
In 1994, Faulk was drafted second overall by the Indianapolis Colts after an outstanding college career. In his first season, Faulk rushed for 1,288 yards, good for fifth in the NFL, and finished third in the league in touchdowns with 11.
For the next three seasons, Faulk was plagued by ailments, including a nagging toe injury. He recovered to rush for 1,319 yards in 1998. After the season, he was traded to the St. Louis Rams, where he pieced together three more consecutive seasons with 1,300 or more rushing yards. In his first year in St. Louis, he augmented Kurt Warner’s fearsome passing attack and helped the Rams win Super Bowl XXXIV.
Throughout his career, Faulk made seven Pro Bowl appearances. He ranks 10th on the all-time list with 12,279 rushing yards, and seventh all-time with 100 rushing touchdowns. His credentials were more than enough to land him in Canton.
