Super Bowl Recipes: Everything You Need For Your Party

We’ll start Super Bowl Sunday with two bits of good news. First, Super Bowl XLV kicks off this evening (at 6:29 Eastern, to be precise). And secondly, you still have time to hit the grocery store and throw together an excellent Super Bowl party, thanks to the crowd-pleasing Super Bowl recipes we’ve provided at SBNation.com this week.

So turn on your printer or grab you shopping list, as we’ll give you a quick roundup of the best of our Super Bowl Recipes this week -- everything from the dip to the main dishes to the drinks and even the morning after.

So here it is, your semi-official SB Nation Super Bowl Party Digital Cookbook.

Starters:

- Boursin Cheese And Artichoke Dip, or as author Ryan Hudson called it, “A Last-Minute Crowd-Pleaser.” If you’re just now starting to think about Super Bowl food, you should just go ahead and print this out now.

- Potato Skins, or as author Chris Mottram called them, “Bacon-Cheddar Lifeboats Of Deliciousness.” Hard to argue with that description.

- Pizza Dip, because as Mr. Mottram says, “Everything Is Better In Dipping Form.” He also says pizza isn’t fun, which is a lie, but I trust him enough to know that this little dipper looks like a winning Super Bowl Recipe.

Drinks:

- Team Jelly Shots and Texas Rose Punch. We brought in a ringer this week: Sarah Sprague who writes about food and sports on her popular blog and creates recipes for football feasts every Friday. And something tells me she’s decked out in black and gold today. Sarah also included a recipe for a non-booze version of the Texas Rose Punch, so the kids can have some, too. (And the jelly shots come in team colors, so you can please your friends whether they’re fans of the Steelers or Packers.)

Main Courses:

- Oven-Baked Mini-Chicken Burritos. Another game-day gem from Sarah, she calls these burritos easy and well-received -- a killer combo if you’ve got a room full of hungry football fans.

- Chili, which I dubbed the “Versatile Super Bowl XLV Performer.” By versatile, I mean you can dip things in it, you can put it on a cracker or a burger or a hot dog, you can feast on a big bowl of the chili all by itself, or put it over noodles. It also makes for a mean omelet filling in the morning.

The Morning After:

- Chilaquiles, because thankfully Holly Anderson was thinking about Super Bowl Monday with this dish, which she called “Your Friend For The Morning After The Big Game.” This is just the kind of big, hot mess you need to get you going again after the big game has ended.
