NFL Films’ Steve Sabol To Begin Brain Tumor Treatment

NFL Films president Steve Sabol suffered a seizure two weeks ago in Kansas City and has been diagnosed with a primary tumor in his brain, a spokesperson said in a statement. Sabol was in Kansas City for the 101 Awards when he suffered the seizure.

According to the statement, he’s beginning treatment.

"(Steve) will begin treatments soon," the statement said. "Steve is in good spirits and is deeply appreciative of everyone's good wishes."

Sabol is expected to undergo radiation and chemotherapy.

The news on Sabol came several weeks after his father, was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Ed Sabol is the founder of NFL Films. Steve started working with NFL Films in 1964 and has won 27 Emmys in that time.
