Lawrence Taylor Talks Prostitutes On Fox News: ‘I Don’t Card ‘Em’
Lawrence Taylor was sentenced to six years probation on earlier this week, stemming from charges related to sex with an underage prostitute. And then he went on Fox News to explain himself...
“I’m not the cause of prostitution. And sometimes I make mistakes and I may go out there, but I didn’t pick her up at no daddgone playground. She wasn’t hiding behind the school bus or getting off a school bus. This is a working girl that came to my room. And I don’t know what her age was. I asked her age. She told me she was 19. It is what it is.”
You can watch video of the interview over at Fox News. And while we’re here, you know how they say honesty is always the best policy? Yeah... Not always true.
“I don’t card ‘em,” LT said of, um, prostitutes. “I don’t ask for a birth certificate.”
“It’s the world of prostitution,” he continued. “You never know what you’re gonna get. Is it gonna be a pretty girl, an ugly girl or whatever it’s gonna be. ... I’m not saying it’s right, but guys, it’s the oldest profession in the world.” And... Hey now! It’s the oldest profession in the world-defense!
So, pretty much a disaster all around for ole LT right there. Yeah, LT’s a cult hero for a generation of NFL fans, and if that hasn’t changed after the first hundred scandals, it probably never will.
But DAMN, man.
It’s one thing to get caught in a misunderstanding that makes you look bad, but it’s a lot worse to straight up miss the point in all this. Young girls get forced into the “oldest profession” every day, and all LT has to say is “I don’t card ‘em”? Come on LT, at least pretend to care.
