Bears-Bucs 2011 London Game Scheduled For Oct. 23, But Could Move To Tampa Bay

The Chicago Bears and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, former NFC Central rivals, are officially scheduled to play in London's Wembley Stadium on Oct. 23 of this NFL season, with kickoff set for 1 pm ET. There's a caveat, of course, as the NFL lockout could disrupt Malcolm Glazer's world tour.

If the lockout is still in effect on August 1, the game will revert back to a regular Bucs home game, meaning it’ll be played in Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium. There will be about as many Bucs fans in attendance either way, but the sad fact is a game in London would enable Tampa Bay supporters to actually watch their team on TV for once.

The rest of the 2011 NFL schedule will be announced Tuesday night at 7 pm ET.

For more on this game, Bears fans should visit Windy City Gridiron and SB Nation Chicago, and Bucs fans should join Bucs Nation and SB Nation Tampa Bay.
