2011 NFL Draftees As High Schoolers, Or Who Used To Be The Skinniest?

Screen_shot_2011-04-27_at_2

ESPN Rise has a tremendous 2011 NFL Draft slideshow comparing pictures of this year's draftees to their high school selves. Most of its value comes from seeing how skinny these manbeasts used to be, particularly A.J. Green "Bean" and Colin Kaepernick, who resembled some sort of trebuchet or perhaps the snipe from Up.

Adrian Clayborn, Cam Newton, Nick Fairley and Cameron Jordan (one of those is a quarterback!) looked pretty terrifying even as teenagers, while Ryan Mallett ... looked exactly the same.

The question this set raises, of course, is a partial answer to the investigation that has haunted Andy Dalton for weeks now: "how long have you been a redheaded quarterback?" The visual evidence is clear. He has been a redheaded quarterback since at least high school. Look at him standing in direct sunlight with no sleeves, squinting as he absorbs the star's harmful rays with his glowing pink skin. He's powered by SPF 100,000, NFL general manager, and always has been.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28, and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare: NFL mock drafts, draft projections, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule and more. Check it out at SB Nation's NFL Draft page and our NFL Draft blog, Mocking the Draft.
