Former NFL QB Jared Lorenzen Does His Best Bo Jackson Tecmo Bowl Impression

For most of us it’s been a few years but, if you live in Northern Kentucky, perhaps you heard his name in connection with the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Ultimate Indoor Football League. (Everyone follows the UIFL, right?) It’s a start-up league that’s equivalent to Double-A baseball and Lorenzen is apparently one of the stars.

Many of us remember him before being a very, very large quarterback -- over 280 pounds -- but these days he’s actually a bit larger. So large, in fact, that he can do this:

This really isn’t all that different from what Lorenzen did early in his NFL career. His first two career plays had him lining up at quarterback and sneaking the ball for a first down. There are some certain advantages with size -- you just usually don’t see that at the quarterback position.

I haven’t seen all of the UIFL’s rosters but I’m willing to make a bet that Lorenzen is the only QB with a Super Bowl ring. (Yes, he really has one.)
