Tom Martinez is a community college coach who, upon first glance, doesn’t have much meaning in NFL circles. But if you look a little closer, you realize Martinez is one of the most important football minds for one of the game’s greatest players.

Brady spoke to Peter King of SI.com and reflected upon Martinez’s impact.
"There's so many people I owe so much to -- high school, college and the NFL,'' he said. "But he is right at the top of the list. Second to none. He never held back with me. Even when I was going good, he'd watch me and call me and say something like, 'Your feet are way too slow in the shotgun. Speed it up!' or 'When you throw to your right, close your right shoulder.'
Martinez has also worked with Chiefs QB Matt Cassel and Chiefs rookie QB Ricky Stanzi. In fact, Stanzi spent several weeks at Martinez's home earlier this year preparing himself for the NFL.
