Kenny Britt is off the hook -- at least for felony charges. The Tennessee Titans wide receiver was arrested in April for reportedl trying to elude a police officer in a short car chase.
Felony Charge Dropped In Kenny Britt Arrest
According to the Tennessean, the felony charge of eluding a police officer has been dropped.
"The case was sent for review to make sure there was nothing more to it," DeFazio said. "In this situation nobody was hurt, and since he had no prior criminal record the matter was sent down to Bayonne Municipal Court."
Britt now faces three lesser charges but not the felony.
This is good news for Britt and his legal issues but it remains to be seen how it will affect his standing with the Titans. The arrest occurred during the NFL lockout so we haven’t yet seen the Titans full reaction to what transpired. The NFL has previously said they would be enforcing the personal conduct policy during the lockout but what really matters is how discipline will be handled in the new CBA (if we ever get one).
