VIDEO: Peyton And Eli Manning Star As ‘Football Cops’
Yeah, it wasn’t just a photo shoot -- it’s turned into this hilarious clip for DirecTV. SB Nation’s Stampede Blue reports that it’s not a commercial -- it’s some sort of “special project”. I’m not quite sure what to make of that but perhaps there are more coming.
Here’s the video and a few highlights are after the jump:
-Peyton stars as Officer Mike Tahoe and Eli as Officer C.J. Hunter.
-As a bad guy is shooting at them, Eli gets up and fires back -- with a football through the chest. Fake blood and all!
-On his second attempt to hit one of the bad guys, Eli throws a great pass that knocks a cigar out of the bad guy’s hands, and results in the cigar catching fire and the man engulfed in flames. Yes, Eli threw a pass that ended up burning a man. This trailer is awesome.
-Perhaps the best line came after Eli’s pass that burned the bad guy. Peyton says, “I guess nobody ever told him justice is a team sport.” Eli’s response looking at Peyton: “What does that even mean?”
I hope one of the networks does the right thing and turns this into a TV show.
