The Philadelphia Eagles, like many other teams across the league, are conducting player-only workouts during the NFL lockout. A few weeks ago QB Michael Vick was running the show and last week QB Kevin Kolb, the subject of many trade rumors, also showed up.
Five Times More Media Members Than Players At Eagles Workouts
On Thursday, though, the attendance wasn’t very good. In fact, it was so low they should have just conducted the practice in somebody’s backyard.
According to the Philly Inquirer, just two Eagles -- QB Mike Kafka and WR Jeremy Maclin -- showed up for Thursday's workout session.
Yep...two. There were five times as many media members there covering them.
Maclin brought along a couple of his former Missouri teammates but, other than that, it was just him and Kafka.
If the Eagles weren’t so good, we’d probably ridicule them but, despite just two players showing up on Thursday, they’ll probably go on to win 11 games and make the playoffs, again.
