It's time for the annual look at Cincinnati Bengals OT Andre Smith's weight. Ever since he ran at the NFL combine in 2009 without his shirt on -- we'll label that photo NSFW -- Smiths' weight has been a topic of conversation around the NFL.

Let’s review the stories on Smith’s weight before getting to the latest one.

In 2009, it was reported that Smith’s contract includes some stringent clauses that require him to be in shape in order to collect his paycheck.

Per the source, the contract contains a provision that slashes in half Smith's pay for each game in which he weighs in at 350 pounds or higher - and in which he is not on the active 45-man roster.

And in July 2010 a report surfaced that Smith weighed a whopping 370 pounds.

This week, Smith is working out with his Cincy teammates at the Bengals player-only workouts but he can’t do much because he still has a boot on after breaking his foot last November for the second time in the last year and a half. Smith did say though that his weight is under control.

“I love where my weight is right now. I’ve dropped a bunch and it’s a lot less than it was at training camp last year,” Smith said.

That’s your annual look at Andre Smith’s weight. It’ll be interesting to see if he really is as low as he needs to be whenever the lockout ends and the Bengals strength and conditioning coaches have access to him.

So will Smith be the starting right tackle? Hop on over to Cincy Jungle and see what Bengals fans say about that.
