Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder is not a particularly well-liked individual, and his ridiculous lawsuit against Washington City Paper and writer Dave McKenna is not a well-liked lawsuit. The opposition grew on Tuesday, when some rather big names allied to attempt to convince the judge to dismiss the suit.

National Public Radio, Politico, Public Citizen, the American Society of News Editors, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies, Allbritton Communications Company (WJLA-TV 7) and WUSA-TV (Channel 9) are among those urging the District Court to dismiss the suit.
At this point, Mr. Snyder has little hope of winning the lawsuit unless he can ally himself with all of the following entities:

- Grantland Rice
- Mark Twain
- William Shakespeare
- The guy who live-tweeted the bin Laden raid without realizing it, who I think everyone can agree seems like a cool enough dude
- Jesus
- The President
- The judge

- Danny Gladden
- Bonnie Hunt
- Bonnie Raitt
- Trung Canidate
- Corliss Williamson
- Charles Grodin
- Will Oldham
- Carney Lansford
