Start Of 2011 NFL Regular Season Is 50 Days Away

The NFL season will start 50 days from now....assuming a new labor agreement between the owners and players is worked out and the NFL lockout is officially over. That's when the Packers and Saints are scheduled to kick off the season with a Thursday night opener.

↵The end of the lockout could come as soon as Thursday, according to reports, which would mean that game could be played.

↵Hopefully this is a reminder to both sides what they could be missing if they don’t get this done. Missing a full offseason of workouts, and even parts of training camp or preseason is one thing. That’s bad but not catastrophic. Missing a regular season game, however, would be devastating to most NFL fans.

↵Let’s hope both sides keep that in mind as they try to end this lockout this week.
