You'd think the San Diego Chargers would be over the whole Eli Manning draft thing by now. They ended up getting franchise QB Philip Rivers, kicker Nate Kaeding and superstar linebacker Shawne Merriman out of the deal. They hosted Eli and the Giants and gave them a fairly epic beating a few years back.

Still, trying bring Eli Manning into the conversation with Chargers GM A.J. Smith seven years later and you’ll find yourself with a heaping pile of scorn.
“He was a Charger for 45 minutes,” Smith said “and that was too much time to be a Charger, in my opinion.”
Smith goes on to say that “I believe with my heart and soul that [Philip Rivers] one day will lead the Chargers to a world championship.” See now if only Eli Manning had been a Charger for a few more minutes, he might have won that Super Bowl ring he has with them instead of the Giants. Then A.J. wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore...
