DeSean Jackson is expected to end his holdout with the Philadelphia Eagles sometime this week, according to a report by ESPN. Jackson has been sitting in protest of the terms of his four-year rookie contract, which is set to earn him $565,000 in base salary this season. The Eagles have refused to enter into negotiations with Jackson until he reports to training camp.

Earlier reports were conflicted, with some saying that Jackson could return to practice Monday or Tuesday and others suggesting that the speedster was ready to sit out for an extended period of time. This latest report does not indicate a set return date. Jackson will face a $30,000 fine for each day after Thursday that he does not report.
With a flurry of big signings in a compacted free agency period, the Eagles could see plenty of extra preseason Super Bowl hype, especially if they are able to keep Jackson happy.
