Philadelphia Eagles CB Asante Samuel should be feeling good with several years remaining on his six-year contract he signed in 2008 but instead he's not sure exactly what his future will be. This is of course after the Eagles signed CB Nnamdi Asomugha and traded for CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
Asante Samuel Doesn’t Sound Sure Of Philadelphia Eagles Future
We’ve already noted that trade rumors involving Samuel started popping up shortly after the Asomugha move. There is an air of uncertainty with him and he seemed to acknowledge that, according to Reuben Frank of CSN Philly.
"If they're tired of my big playmaking ability, they'll ship me out. If not, they'll keep me here."
When Samuel signed with Philadelphia, he said he just wanted to win a Super Bowl (as did Asomugha) so I imagine his preference would be in Philly but that’s far from decided.
We’ll see what the Eagles decide to do but once again they have a major trade chip just a few days after trading QB Kevin Kolb.
