Steven Jackson has been held out of the Rams last two practices with a hip injury. He has battled questions about his durability for years, however he called his latest injury "trivial," saying that he plans on playing in the team's second preseason game.
Steven Jackson Calls Hip Injury “Trivial”
Steven Jackson plans on playing in the Rams’ upcoming preseason game.
Jackson downplayed the injury, joking that he was hurt "getting out of bed, man" and calling the injury just "general soreness." The Rams signed Jerious Norwood and Cadillac Williams in the offseason, finally giving Jackson some decent talent behind him so that he won't, hopefully, have to carry the offense on his back like he has in the past.
The Rams have been taking serious steps to upgrade new coordinator Josh McDaniels' offense. Mike Sims-Walker provides the team with another legitimate receiving threat outside of Donnie Avery, and Harvey Dahl should be an upgrade along the offensive line.
