Eagles Vs. Steelers
Eagles Vs. Steelers: Game Time, TV Schedule, Position Battles And More
The Eagles will make the trip to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Thursday night in the second week of the 2011 NFL preseason schedule.
The Philadelphia Eagles will make the trip across Pennsylvania to face off against the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Thursday night in the second week of the NFL's preseason schedule. The Eagles are coming off a 13-6 victory over the Baltimore Ravens from week one. DeSean Jackson will be making his preseason debut coming out of a short contract holdout. This means that starting quarterback Michael Vick will have at least one of his main weapons back at wide receiver as Jeremy Maclin (illness) and free agent acquisition Steve Smith (recovering from knee surgery) will be sidelined.
The Pittsburgh Steelers, coming off a 16-7 loss to the Washington Redskins, will make first appearance at their home stadium since they defeated the Jets in the 2010 AFC Championship game. Troy Polamalu, who didn't play in the team's first preseason game, may also make his preseason debut, and the team's starters will likely see more time than the limited action they saw during their loss to the Redskins. Since wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders will miss his second straight preseason game while he's recovering from foot surgery, make sure you keep an eye out for wide receiver Antonio Brown, who led the Steelers last week with four catches for 64 yards.
