We thought the whole "My Twitter account was hacked" thing was done and over with as a legitimate excuse for athletes who send out tweets but free agent WR Braylon Edwards is proving us wrong.
Braylon Edwards Pulls Out ‘My Twitter Account Was Hacked’ Excuse
Edwards and a few people in his entourage went to a Birmingham bar and a scuffle with Edwards’ entourage broke out that resulted in some injuries. He wasn’t involved, didn’t do anything wrong and didn’t even talk to the police.
So he’s in the clear but...
At about the same time the fight was reportedly going on, Edwards sent out two tweets that said: “Damn. Get ya knuckles ready” and shortly after “Don’t fight if [y]ou don’t know how.”
Edwards didn’t do anything wrong but felt compelled to delete those tweets and send out a follow-up tweet that said -- what else -- his account was hacked: “Yo...Lost my phone last night someone sent tweets. Deleted them and changed my password. Sorry for the mishap hopefully never happens again!”
Of course it was hacked. Of course.
