Terrelle Pryor was the only player selected in the 2011 NFL supplemental draft on Monday but he wasn't the only player to find an NFL home. According to his agent (via DogBytesOnline.com), King has agreed to an undrafted free agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings.
Caleb King Gets UDFA Deal With Minnesota Vikings
Undrafted in the supplemental draft, former Georgia RB Caleb King has signed with the Vikings.
His agent tells the website that there were multiple teams interested in him. King wasn’t picked in the supplemental draft but his NFL dream continues.
"It's not disappointing when you get an opportunity to play at the highest level," said Conner who mentioned former Tennessee tailback Arian Foster and former Oregon tailback LaGarrette Blount as examples of players at the position who had success recently after going undrafted.
Those are a good pair of examples to keep in mind. Foster lead the NFL in rushing last year Blount lead all rookies in rushing. Despite all the time, money and expertise involved in the NFL draft, there’s still an element of guesswork involved.
Time will tell if the NFL guessed wrong on King.
