Terrell Owens isn't on an NFL roster at the moment, and his absence from the NFL landscape thus far in 2011 may have led many to conclude that the talented, talkative wide receiver had retired. Nah, sorry, not yet: T.O.'s just rehabbing a torn ACL and dabbling in acting on the side.
Terrell Owens Turning To Acting On Necessary Roughness While Rehabbing Injury
↵Owens will portray an All-Pro defensive back on USA’s Necessary Roughness, a show starring Callie Thorne as a sports psychiatrist and Mechad Brooks as a thinly veiled pastiche of every wide receiver a hack columnist has called a diva, and there’s a really good chance he out-acts Brooks on the show.
↵That’s a reflection on Brooks, not T.O., but if you’re doubting Owens’ thespian chops, don’t. Remember, he did once almost make us believe he had a deep emotional attachment to his quarterback, despite previously publicly implying that another one of his quarterbacks was gay in derogatory fashion.
