Packers Vs. Colts: Green Bay Passing Game Looks Sharp As Packers Take Lead, 7-0

The third preseason game is usually the most important one. Get your starters the reps they need to show themselves and the fans that they’re ready for the season. Passing game on track for the Green Bay Packers? Check.

Aaron Rodgers engineered the first scoring drive of the game between the Pack and the Indianapolis Colts, going seven-of-eight for 76 yards on the touchdown drive to give Green Bay a 7-0 lead. The capper was an 18-yard pass to Jermichael Finley. Rodgers has looked sharp so far.

As for the whole could Curtis Painter take Peyton Manning’s place if it comes to that early in the season? Colts fans should probably hope for Manning to heal quickly. Painter is 1-of-5 for seven yards. Joseph Addai does have 28 yards on four carries — and the one catch for seven yards.
