The Kansas City Chiefs finally puts points on the board against the St. Louis, but they are down at halftime, 14-3. Ryan Succop kicked a 26-yard field goal early in the second quarter, but the Chiefs had a touchdown nullified earlier in the drive. Jamaal Charles had entered the end zone on a seven-yard drive, the second play of a drive that began after an interception. However, a holding penalty negated the points.
Rams Vs. Chiefs Score: St. Louis Leads Kansas City At Halftime, 14-3
The Rams were unable to add to their lead and didn't control the ball as well as they did in the first quarter. Bradford did throw the interception that the Chiefs eventually turned into three points. But he's done much better leading his offense, picking up 210 total yards in the first half. The Chiefs have failed to do as much. Matt Cassel completed 6-of-13 passes for 59 yards and was sacked for a loss of 11 yards. Tyler Palko replaced him and completed four passes in six attempts, picking up 37 yards.
The Chiefs' running game has had little impact. Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones each have two rushes for four yards. The ground game has just 14 yards in total.
