Madden '12 is set to hit shelves this Tuesday, Aug. 30. This year's cover man, as voted on by fans in a bracket-style tournament, is everybody's favorite blue-collar workhorse Peyton Hillis. He beat out Michael Vick for the honor, in a final that in no way pitted diametrically opposed ideals against each other.
Madden ‘12 Release Date Set For Aug. 30
The latest edition of Madden looks to amp up the atmosphere.

This year’s iteration Madden ‘12 features several upgrades over the previous edition, many mostly cosmetic. Gone are the generic introductions, now replaced by team-specific cut scenes. Developers have reportedly made efforts to amp up the atmosphere, creating a broadcast-style presentation with tv-like camera shots and cut aways.
If you have played Madden before, you should have no trouble picking up the controller and hopping right back in the game. The gameplay remains largely unchanged, as it usually does from year to year. There have been a few minor tweaks however, notably on the defensive side of the ball. Defensive players now act much more naturally, adjusting to what the offense is running instead of robotically sticking to their assignments.
Early reviews have largely been positive, with the game so far holding an 82 percent at GameRankings.com.
