Martellus Bennett Injury: Cowboys TE Out 2-4 Weeks With Ankle Injury
Cowboys TE Martellus Bennett will miss 2-4 weeks after suffering the dreaded high ankle sprain in the preseason game against the Vikings.

The play came in the third quarter of the game when Bennett had his ankle rolled by a Vikings defender.
Bennett was injured when he was blocking on a running play for rookie DeMarco Murray. Bennett was engaged in a block on the right side of the line when Minnesota linebacker Kyle O'Donnell dove in from the left and rolled onto the back of Bennett's legs.
That means Bennett very well could be missing a game or two during the regular season.
High ankle sprains are the type of injury that can linger throughout the season so it’s important for Bennett and the Cowboys to take their time on his return. If they rush it, it could be aggravated and turn into one of those season-long linger problems.
Tough break for the Cowboys. Check out Blogging The Boys for the full recap of last weekend’s game.
