When DT Albert Haynesworth was traded from the Washington Redskins to the New England Patriots, his reaction was simple: "Hell yeah."
Chad Ochocinco Cried After Trade To New England Patriots
When WR Chad Ochocinco was traded from the Cincinnati Bengals to the Patriots, his reaction was a little more emotional. Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports has an excellent look at the Patriots recent personnel moves and describes Ochocinco's reaction like this:
As for the 33-year-old Ochocinco, his sense of relief is constant. He talked about the morning last week when agent Drew Rosenhaus texted him, “Emergency, call ASAP.”
“I’m thinking, ‘Yeah, what could this be?‘ ” Ochocinco said, sarcastically. “I called Drew and he said, ‘[Bengals owner] Mike [Brown] has agreed to trade you to New England.’ I just dropped the phone and started crying. I was just bawling. You know how it is on draft day when you finally get selected. It was like draft day all over again.”
Say what you want about Ochocinco off the field but on the field the guy works incredibly hard. It’s hard to realize that when you see some of his antics but he’s been highly productive for most of his career and, if this trade is anything like the WR Randy Moss trade a few years ago, he could be headed for a career renaissance.
