2011 Pro Football Hall Of Fame Inductions: Deion Sanders, Marshall Faulk In Seven-Person Class

Six NFL greats will join the Pro Football Hall of Fame in an induction ceremony Saturday night.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame — the NFL’s hall of fame in all but name, really — is adding seven more football legends this Saturday with the 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductions, the focal point of the 2011 Enshrinement Festival.

The 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinees include electrifying cornerback Deion Sanders, do-everything running back Marshall Faulk, fearsome defensive end Richard Dent, Redskins stalwart Chris Hanburger, all-purpose player Les Richter, and NFL Films founder Ed Sabol. Football fans from across the country will descend on Canton, Ohio to see their favorite players enter football's most hallowed club.

The induction ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. Eastern from the steps of Fawcett Stadium, which typically hosts the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on the Sunday following inductions. That won't happen in 2011: as a result of the NFL lockout, the Hall of Fame Game between the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams that would have begun the 2011 NFL preseason was cancelled, making this the first year since 1966 without a Hall of Fame Game.
