Vikings Vs. Chargers: Game Time, TV Schedule, Announcers And More

The Minnesota Vikings will have their work cut out for them when they travel to California to play the San Diego Chargers on Sunday afternoon. Aside from missing All-Pro defensive tackle Kevin Williams due to a suspension, the Minnesota defense will be tested against one of the best offenses in the NFL.

The Chargers are led by Philip Rivers, the quarterback coming off of one of the best years of his career as he threw for 4,710 yards and 30 touchdowns last season with a hodgepodge of receivers in the lineup. This season, to start at least, Rivers should have receiving targets Antonio Gates, Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd healthy enough to turn in an even better season.

The Vikings, on the other hand, are beginning their first season with veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb under center. McNabb is taking the place of Brett Favre, but chances are the Minnesota offense will be run through Adrian Peterson with McNabb being more of a facilitator until he's forced to play catch-up.

It seems the Chargers, favored to win by nearly 10 points, shouldn’t have too much trouble opening up the season with a victory if Vegas is right -- unless Peterson is able to run rampant, of course.

Game Date/Time: September 11, 2011 at 4:15 p.m. ET

Location: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, California.
