Unquestionably, Michael Vick is one of the greatest rushing quarterbacks of all time. His speed is unmatched at the quarterback position and he regularly puts up massive rushing numbers. With his 98 yards rushing in Week 1 against the St. Louis Rams, Vick went over 4,700 rushing yards for his career. He's one of two men to ever run for that many yards from the quarterback position, with the other being Randall Cunningham, another one-time member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Michael Vick Joins Randall Cunningham In Elite QB Rushing Club
Michael Vick is one of two quarterbacks to ever rush for 4,700 or more yards, and is likely to break Randall Cunningham’s record for all-time rushing yards by a quarterback.
Vick is currently second all-time in rushing yards for quarterbacks behind Cunningham, with 4,728 career rushing yards. He’s now exactly 200 yards behind Cunningham, who ended his career with 4,928 rushing yards. Vick was the NFL’s leader in rushing yards from the quarterback position in 2010, and has 201 rushing yards combined in the last two season openers. Vick’s already in an elite club, but he’ll almost certainly become the all-time leader in rushing yards from the QB position this year, barring a serious injury.
