The St. Louis Rams had a scare in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles as QB Sam Bradford suffered a finger injury. Obviously an injury to your hand or finger is pretty important for a quarterback who throws with that hand.
Sam Bradford’s Injury Not Expected To Keep Him Out Of Monday Night Football
The good news, however, is that the team expects to have him around against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bradford will try to practice and the team thinks he'll be playing.
The concern was whether Bradford had any nerve issues in his hand but it appears he doesn’t. Reports say it’s just a bruise on his index finger which, while painful, likely won’t keep him out of Monday’s game.
That's good news for St. Louis who will likely be without RB Steven Jackson, who suffered a quad injury. They'll need Bradford against the Giants, who are going to be motivated to win after a 14-point loss to the Washington Redskins in Week 1.
