The San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots should be one of the best match-ups of the week when the two AFC teams take the field on Sunday afternoon. In a move not exactly surprising considering the Patriots' opening-weekend offensive onslaught, however, it seems the NFL odds makers are slowly moving the line further in favor of the Patriots.
NFL Odds Week 2: Chargers Vs. Patriots
The Patriots opened the week as 6½ point favorites over the visiting Chargers with some sites having the odds in favor of New England by more than a touchdown according to the OddsShark statistics. The over-under is set at a conservative 51½ with the smart money probably being set on the over considering both teams have the ability to put plenty of points on the board.
The Chargers will need to find a way to limit Tom Brady and the Patriots offense as well as they were able to limit the production of Donovan McNabb and the Minnesota Vikings if they want to beat the odds. That seems like a task easier to write than actually perform, however, especially after travelling across the country to do as much.
