In the last year the Kansas City Chiefs have given contracts extensions to LB Derrick Johnson, RB Jamaal Charles and LB Tamba Hali. You can now add CB Brandon Flowers to that list
Brandon Flowers Gets Five-Year Contract Extension From Chiefs
The Chiefs wrapped up one of their best players, CB Brandon Flowers, to a long-term contract extension.

According to the KC Star, Flowers and the Chiefs agreed to terms on a contract extension. NFL Network reports it’s a five-year deal worth $50 million with $22 million guaranteed.
Flowers has quietly turned into one of the league's better corners. He was a 2008 draft pick, the last draft under Herm Edwards and former GM Carl Peterson, and has blossomed into the Chiefs top cornerback, along with his counterpart, CB Brandon Carr.
The Chiefs secondary took a big hit last week when S Eric Berry tore his ACL but they're still one of the youngest and most talented groups in the league.
Now that Flowers' deal has been done, the Chiefs, if they choose to, can look to extend other key players like WR Dwayne Bowe and/or CB Brandon Carr.
