Maurice Jones-Drew expressed some frustration that he was asked to carry the ball just 24 times in the Jacksonville Jaguars' narrow win over the Titans last week. Head coach Jack Del Rio wanted to ease his offensive centerpiece back into the NFL grind. There will no taking it easy for Jones-Drew and the Jaguars against the New York Jets this week.
Jaguars Vs. Jets: Game Time, TV Schedule, Announcers And More
The New York Jets look to start the season 2-0 after beating the Cowboys in prime time. In order to do so, Rex Ryan’s team will have to stop a Jacksonville Jaguars team led by Maurice Jones-Drew.

Rex Ryan's Jets are flying high after a last-minute victory over the Cowboys in prime time last week. Mark Sanchez leads an offense with a variety of weapons, including a rejuvenated Plaxico Burress, an ageless LaDainian Tomlinson and shifty Santonio Holmes. The Jets' defense beat up on Tony Romo, racking up four sacks last week, and will be looking forward to the matchup. Their game plan will be to shut down Jones-Drew and force journeyman QB Luke McCown to do the heavy lifting.
Jacksonville's defense notably erased RB Chris Johnson last week, limiting the recent holdout to 24 rushing yards and less than 50 total yards. Starting cornerback Derek Cox is likely to miss the game after taking a hit to the chest last week. DE Aaron Kampman was a mysterious late scratch for Jacksonville; who will miss him against a Jets offensive line that looked rusty. The Jets are relatively healthy heading into their game. Mark Sanchez had a precautionary concussion test, but says he is fine.
