Jaguars Vs. Jets: Mark Sanchez Throws 2 TDs In Rout

Mark Sanchez threw a couple of touchdowns and the New York Jets had an easy time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, winning 32-3 on Sunday. The Jets defense also intercepted Jaguars starting quarterback Luke McCown four times and limited him to just 59 yards before he was pulled for rookie Blaine Gabbert.

The Jets scored on their first possession of the game, marching 65 yards on the game’s opening possession and concluding it with a 17-yard touchdown pass to Santonio Holmes. It was the first time in 16 games that the Jets had scored an offensive touchdown in the first quarter.

On the Jaguars' first possession, McCown was sacked in the endzone by Muhammad Wilkerson for a safety. It was the beginning of a long day for McCown. After a relatively quiet first quarter, he was intercepted on the Jaguars' last two possessions of the first half that effectively killed any kind of momentum they were hoping to build.

It wasn’t exactly a great day for Sanchez, but he really did not need to be very good on this day. Sanchez threw for just 182 yards and was intercepted twice, but his two touchdowns were really all that mattered on a day in which the Jets defense was dominant.
