Well, the Dallas Cowboys and San Fransisco 49ers certainly win the award for playing the most bizarre game of the day. After a back and forth game in which Dallas never led in regulation, the Cowboys eventually defeated the Niners 27-24 in overtime, thanks to a gutsy performance by Tony Romo.

Tony Romo came out of the game for over a quarter with a cracked rib, but played injured in the fourth quarter and overtime, leading the Dallas Cowboys to a win over the San Fransisco 49ers
It seems cliche or lazy to use words like 'gutsy', or even worse, 'clutch' to describe performances, but this is a situation where the words apply. Even the strongest of Romo haters will have trouble discrediting this performance. He was taken out of the game with a cracked rib after the first half, but following two interceptions by backup quarterback Jon Kitna, Romo elected to re-enter the game.
Romo threw a touchdown pass to Miles Austin, then led the Cowboys down the field for a game-tying field goal in the fourth quarter, setting up overtime. In the overtime period, Romo and young receiver Jesse Holley hooked up for a 77-yard strike, setting up an easy game-winning field goal by Dan Bailey.
Both teams are now 1-1 on the season and present more questions for fans than answers. Good luck figuring out what the potential playoff prospects are for either the Niners or Cowboys.
