NFL Scores Week 2: Texas Beat Dolphins, Lose Arian Foster To Injury

The Houston Texans move to 2-0 on the young season, but it was not all good news. Running back Arian Foster reinjured hamstring, forcing him out of the game.

The Houston Texans are undefeated. Most surprising of all is that the Texans own a 2-0 record with just 10 total carries from running back Arian Foster, last year's leader in total yards. Foster left today's game after re-aggravating his left hamstring.

Houston clipped the scoring ability Miami showed last week against the Patriots. A trio of field goals from Neil Rackers and an Owen Daniels touchdown gave Houston a 16-3 lead heading into the locker room at the half. Rookie defensive end J.J. Watt blocked a second quarter Miami field goal attempt to further stifle the Dolphins ability to put points on the board.

After throwing for more than 400 yards and a pair of touchdowns last week, Miami QB Chad Henne completed just 12 of 30 passing attempts for a touchdown and an interception. Making his first start since being drafted in the second round this spring, Miami running back Daniel Thomas ran for 107 yards on 18 carries, adding a 10-yard reception. Brandon Marshall had 6 catches for 79 yards and a score. Reggie Bush had just 6 carries and 1 reception for a total of 21 yards.

Even with Foster in the game plan to start, Houston sprinkled Ben Tate liberally into their offensive game plan. He finished the day with 103 yards rushing on 23 carries and totaled 135 yards. Andre Johnson tacked on a late touchdown to round out his 7 catch, 93 yard performance.

Houston plays at New Orleans next week, and Miami travels to Cleveland still searching for their first win of the season.
