Aaron Hernandez has gotten off to a terrific start with the 2-0 New England Patriots, but it appears as if the Pats are going to be without their athletic pass-catching tight end for a couple of weeks. Hernandez has a sprained MCL and will likely miss the Week 3 game against the Buffalo Bills. He's currently being reported as out for 1-2 Weeks, meaning that he could also be out for the Pats' Week 4 game against the Oakland Raiders.

Hernandez had seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown against the San Diego Chargers and could be a potentially big loss. The good news for the Patriots is that they have excellent depth at tight end and wide receiver and should be able to cope with Hernandez's loss for a couple of weeks. Fellow tight end Ron Gronkowski was also excellent against the Chargers and should get even more targets in the absence of Hernandez.
