Vince Young’s Injury Is A Hamstring Strain

The Philadelphia Eagles played QB Vince Young in their preseason finale and came up limping at one point causing some Eagles fans to become a little concerned that their backup quarterback had a serious injury.

As it turns out, it’s not serious. An MRI revealed a hamstring strain and is listed as day to day. The Eagles won’t get back on the practice field until Monday so he’ll have a few days off.

As SB Nation’s Bleeding Green Nation says, Young showed pretty quickly after the injury that it likely wasn’t serious.

While the injury looked like it could be serious the moment it happened, he actually seemed just fine soon afterward and didn’t appear to be in serious pain. So to hear that it was just a strain is no shock. And really, it’s no big deal because if all goes well, he’s got a long season of rest in front of him.

As BGN notes, a good year for Young will mean he's on the bench all season with QB Michael Vick starting games.

Hop on over to Bleeding Green Nation where they’re talking about the injury.
