The NFL won’t punish the Giants for seemingly faking injuries on Monday, but future offenders may be subject to fines, suspensions and loss of draft picks, according to a report.
No Discipline From NFL For Giants Fake Injuries
Grant and Jacquian Williams both hit the ground after an eight-yard run by Cadillac Williams put the Rams at the Giants seven-yard line. The ploy gave the Giants defense a little breather, and the Rams settled for a field goal after two incomplete passes.
Rams QB Sam Bradford told the press that he heard a player say “someone go down.” The Giants had been unable to make substitutions or get their defense lined up on the play.

The Rams appeared to be en route to a touchdown but when the Giants went down they were able to get the right personnel on the field and held the Rams to a field goal. The final score was 28-16 so an extra four points would have made it a one-score game.
