Tom Brady, Cam Newton Looking To Make NFL History This Week

The start to the 2011 NFL season has been both expected and unexpected.

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has passed for 940 yards over the first two weeks of the season -- 517 yards in Week 1 and 423 yards in Week 2. You can't expect crazy numbers like that but, considering it's Brady, it wasn't the world's biggest surprise.

What was a surprise, however, was QB Cam Newton nearly matching Brady. Newton threw for 422 yards in Week 1 and 432 yards in Week 2.

Now both players have a shot at history, as ESPN’s Trey Wingo points out.

Both Tom Brady and Cam Newton have a shot at history Sunday. No qb has EVER throw for at least 400 yds in three straight games

Brady's going up against the Bills and, while he's eclipsed the 370-yard mark a couple times, he's never hit 400. Newton, meanwhile, is in his third NFL game so we're still trying to figure out whether he's or real or if this is a fluke.
