NFL Picks Week 3: Dolphins Vs. Browns

The Cleveland Browns are looking for their first winning start to the season in nine years. The Dolphins are feeling all sort of pressure to get their first win of season.

Miami is allowing opponents to score an awful lot of points each week. Sure, a game against Tom Brady does nothing to help the stat sheet with just two games in the sample size, but the Dolphins appear to have a problem. Add to that a head coach on the hottest seat in the NFL, and the Dolphins head to Cleveland desperate for a win.

Browns' rookie head coach Pat Shurmur has his first win under his belt, beating a Manning-less Colts last week. Colt McCoy has a decent start to his season in Shurmur's famous dink and dunk offense. On the other side of the ball, the defense is anchored by two talented defensive linemen, Phil Taylor and Jabaal Sheard, who have combined for 16 tackles. A win this week would be the first time Cleveland has been above .500 in the season's third week in the last nine years.

Odds foresee a pretty close game, and the experts are divided. Peter King takes the Browns. ESPN’s computers and their experts, who can be computer-like, split their picks. Andrew Sharp at SB Nation takes the Browns, and the CBS gang breaks 3-2 for Cleveland as well.

A desperate Miami could surprise people.
