Via NBC Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster is not expected to play against the New Orleans Saints Sunday with a hamstring injury:
Arian Foster Status Update: Foster Not Expected To Play With Hamstring Injury
Bob Holtzmann of ESPN reports that signs are pointing to Foster not playing at New Orleans. Separately, we’ve heard from a league source that Foster is not expected to play.
Foster, last season's rushing leader, has taken just 10 rushes this season for only 33 yards. Houston is 2-0 after a blowout victory over the Indianapolis Colts and last week's win over the Miami Dolphins. Yet, a Saints team that sacked Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler six times last week will look to wreak havoc once again on Matt Schaub and not having Foster in the backfield will only put more pressure on Schaub.
Ben Tate will take Foster's place at running back.
