Bucs’ Raheem Morris Fined For Breaking Lockout Rules, According To Report

During the NFL lockout, teams weren't allowed to have contact with players though it was widely believed that more than a few teams broke those rules. One of those teams, the Bucs, admitted to contacting players during the lockout. Head coach Raheem Morris said he called Aqib Talib when he was arrested and another player when he had a baby.

For that, the NFL has reportedly fined the Bucs. According to Pro Football Talk, the Bucs have been fined $100,000 for violating the rules of contact during the lockout.

PFT reported that three total teams were fined and, besides the Bucs, one of those teams was the Tennessee Titans. Both the league and the Titans deny they were fined.

Many teams likely broke the rules but every team clearly indicated publicly that they broke the rules, like the Bucs did.

The names of all three teams reportedly fined haven’t come out yet but it’ll be interesting to see who was fined, and how they were caught.
